Out of nowhere, the Boston Celtics managed to turn the series around, handing the Miami Heat two straight losses. From trailing 3-0, the Celtics are now only one game behind the Heat with the series standing at 3-2. But where did the Celtics find the fire and motivation to will the momentum in their favor? Well, here's a story from Jayson Tatum's very own star teammates.

The majority of the fans had already called the series between the Celtics and the Heat a sweep. However, Boston had one weapon in their arsenal that came through when the players needed it the most.

Recently, the Game 5 star for the Boston Celtics, Derrick White sat down for an interview with The Athletic. After managing to finally have some momentum under them, the NBA community was baffled as to how the team was able to survive.

White narrated the entire story that took place, and it wasn't head coach Joe Mazzulla who inspired the roster. Instead, it was Celtics’ assistant head coach Matt Reynolds, who got through to the players.

Reynolds is not known to be a man of words, according to Celtics’ defensive stopper, Marcus Smart. However, his words were able to put things in perspective for the entire team as they listened with absolute attention.

The Celtics finished the season with the second-best record in the league. And Reynolds made sure to remind them of that. He pointed out how the entire roster played through adversity and came out on top.

So, to sum it up, Reynolds reminded the team that they were having just one bad week out of a total of a nine-month-long season. His next words were the ones that inspired everyone when he said, "Don't ruin the season off a bad week."

The first thing to come out of Derrick White's mouth was, "He killed it." Reynolds has been there for the players in any role they have needed him to be. Starting out with a student manager position for the Celtics, Matt Reynolds worked his way up to the position he is in now.

He may not have been the most vocal guy on the coaching staff, but he came through when the team needed it the most. And the rest is history in the making as the Celtics are nearing to closing out the gap between their opponents.
