Crystal Window and Door Systems officials celebrated the start of construction this past week for a new manufacturing facility and regional corporate headquarters in Mansfield, Texas.
Company officials say the facility is expected to create 504 new jobs and require more than $121 million in capital investment. The headquarters is part of Crystal Window and Door Systems TX Ltd., a subsidiary of Crystal Window and Door Systems Ltd., a national manufacturer of vinyl and aluminum windows and high-end fenestration systems.
“I started this company in 1990 with a small commercial operation in New York City, and with focus, determination, and a lot of hard work with dedicated employees, Crystal is now a national manufacturer with five major production facilities across the country,” says chairperson and founder Thomas Chen.
The Mansfield location, just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, will be Crystal’s sixth major manufacturing plant in the nation. Crystal currently has major production facilities in New York, Pennsylvania, California, Missouri and Illinois. Plans call for developing the 46-acre Mansfield site in phases over the next few years. Once fully completed, it will have over 600,000 square feet of production space and over 500 skilled jobs. Construction is expected to start in 2025.
The development is partly made possible by a $3,150,000 Texas Enterprise Fund grant and a $15,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus from Texas. The project will be completed in phases over several years.
