BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The issuance ofspecial entry visas for COP29 is ongoing, head of the ASAN Visadepartment of the State Agency for Public Services and SocialInnovations (ASAN) Ismail Rasulzade said at a media briefing on theresults of a media tour of Heydar Aliyev International Airport inpreparation for COP29, Trend reports.

"Registered participants need to use the official e-visa portalto apply for the Special COP29 Visa. Once the completed onlineapplication is submitted, the visa processing should be finalizedwithin 3 working days," he said.

Rasulzade also reminded that work began in January 2024 toprepare the portal, which operates through the ASAN Visa systemmanaged by the State Agency.

"During the past period, integration has been establishedbetween the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, the Ministry ofForeign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and the relevant UN agency—the UNFramework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat.

Considering that tens of thousands of participants from nearly200 countries will attend COP29, the portal is available inmultiple languages, including English, German, French, Spanish,Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, and Korean," headded.
